April 3 - Dusty after surgery

Dusty was neutered today.

He is doing well.

Here is a photo of him after his surgery, still a little sleepy from the medication.

Bunny is taking care of him, they are best friends.

The hospital called this morning and told Kathy to get herself around and eat a light breakfast.

They are starting to induce her later this morning.

Saturday, March 3, 2007

Well here it is Saturday March 3 @ 9:00 am; I have not talked to Kathy today, yet. She is progressing, (although very slowly), but in the right direction.

Josh took her for a ride on the 4-wheeler yesterday. Nothing!

She has a firm appointment to start her labor on Wednesday, March 7. I'll let you know if she lasts that long.

March 1, 2007 - Still No Baby!

Just an update.

Kathy is doing fine, we are both very anxious to meet our new grandson.
The baby is just happy where he is. We are all waiting for his arrival.

They have another appointment Friday March 2, 2007, to see if there is any progression.

The Day Before Her Due Date

It is February 24th, 2007. The Day before my daughter's due date.

She is doing good as is the baby. No pains yet. I will continue to keep you informed on her progress.

5 Weeks To Go

There are five weeks until Kathy's due date. February 25, 2007

Today she is feeling some discomfort, backache, etc. He will be here soon.

New Puppy – January 3, 2007

This is our new puppy, Dusty. His birthday is November 6, 2006. Today he weighs 3.08 lbs. He is a mix of Shih Tzu and Maltese They call him a Shih-Tese All I know is he is the cutest puppy I have ever seen.

We had a bad first night, he cried all night long. The second night was better. Thank God!

We are all bonding as a family, even the extended members.

The Baby Shower – December 2, 2006

Today was Kathy's Baby Shower. Stacy (Kathy's best friend), Dinah (Kathy's Mother-In-Law), and I had a baby shower for Kathy's baby. We are told It Will Be A Boy! So "Under Construction" is our theme along with bathtime "Rubber Duckies". So many gifts were there to open from family and friends alike.

A New Chapter [ part II ] – August 8, 2006

I was having a bad day
Nothing really bad, just stress at work
Then a call telling me my car was just hit, a very bad day
I rush to the car, parts on the ground but no one hurt.

Back to work, where was I before I was called away?
Lunchtime comes before we know it, I can escape
Off to pick up lunch, and do the banking on the way
A call on my cell, hey do you have a blank videotape?

Today is the day for our ultra-sound
Of course I do, you can pick it up before your appointment
Your Mom showed up, I got the tape round
We hugged in the driveway, my heart in fulfillment.

After the appointment she brought the tape and photos of you to me
I had no idea that my heart would feel this way
Other Grandmother?s have told me, this would be different, you will see
When I saw you in that little black and white picture, what could I say?

Today I saw my baby's baby
It was our first meeting
I love you so completely
We watched the video
I just watched you move so fluidly, like a dancer

The sight of you stretching, waving your arms
Two arms, two legs, a little ear
Then I saw your heart... beating... strong
The video caught the sound of your heart beating steadily

At that moment you stole my heart
You will have it always
I am crying happy tears right now
I love you so completely.

A New Chapter – July 4th, 2006

My life changed yesterday
so much for the better

I have been someone's child
someone's wife
someone's mother…

Recently, I have come into my own

Yesterday all that changed
I was told I am going to be someone's Grandmother
